- £5 per month will enable us to offer regular phone calls to isolated members.
- £10 per month will assist us in providing a one hour weekly home visit to those unable to attend the Clubhouse.
- £15 per month will assist us in sending out our monthly newsletter to all of our members
- £20 per month will assist us in providing Health and Fitness sessions for our members.
- £25 per month will assist us in running a weekly Young Adults .
- £30 per month will assist us in developing our Employment Program including training and support.
RENOVATION OF NEW PREMISES
Clubhouse Gibraltar has been allocated 304a Main Street by the Government of Gibraltar as their new premises. However the funding for the renovation works have to be funded by donations to Clubhouse Gibraltar so a fund raising campaign has commenced in January 2018 to achieve this.
Clubhouse Gibraltar provides a very effective service to the community of Gibraltar by primarily providing a support structure which support people who have a history of mental illness. It also provides after hours groups for those who would like to talk about their feelings in relation to anxieties and depression as well as providing a Carer’s group for those people who need support in understanding and coping with a loved one affected by mental illness.
In addition to all this Clubhouse provides courses in Mental Health First aid which is available and recommended to all organizations in Gibraltar.
Our premises are extremely important for us to continue to carry out the essential work we do. The environment we provide must convey respect, hope and dignity. What we provide is a structured work ordered day similar to a typical organization. Our premises need to have a reasonable sized
kitchen as well as a dining/cafeteria area, a Business and Administration area with areas designated for Education & Training, Employment, Housing, a meeting room. A health and fitness area where exercise can take place, an activities area for producing Greeting Cards and promotional material such as posters, newsletters and correspondemce. It must also provide up to date technology so that members can be familiar with and trained for prospective employment. Our charity shop will also be accommodated alongside our Clubhouse so this will also need shop fittings. We also need a working reception area which will accommodate at least two people at a desk and a welcoming area for people making enquiries. The reception will also be responsible for recording attendance, and keeping an up to date data base providing useful statistics.
